Thanks, Riccardo! At least there is an explainable reason for this - I'd never seen it happen in over 15 years and was hoping it wasn't a 'new' bug!

The scenario wasn't exactly normal, but we have had to do it before - This was a new hire, no previous notice was given, so the helpdesk was in the process of building his PC (Notes client), but he had to have email access, so in the interim he was using iNotes. I would assume that would create a profile document.

Then, at some point during the day, his client was set up - and a local (managed) replica was created.

There's nothing that should have deleted his profile doc - but maybe the timing was such that one stomped on the other.

We'll just have to keep an eye out for this in the future...
